Man, do I love this game:

Each sprite is just 4 colors (including transparency), that lines up with the NES limitation perfectly!

Music? Simple but catchy, true to 8 bit (I know you didn't make it but it's still good).

And it's just plain fun. Would give it a higher score if I could

Fun Fact: Going diagonally will speed up your movement, probably because your moving with both your horizontal and vertical speed...
